The coast is some 30 to 40 kms (18 to 24 miles) distance making towns such as St. Maxime, St. Tropez, Cannes, Theoule sur Mer and La Napoule with its boats to Les Isles de Lerins and beyond all very accessible.
Slightly further afield inland is the beautiful and dramatic village of Moustiers—Sainte-Marie, lying at the western entrance to the magnificent Gorges du Verdon. The village has been the centre of the pottery trade, especially faience, for centuries.
Aix en Provence is approximately 91 kms (56 miles) from Lorgues – A Roman town (one of the earliest colonies of ancient Gaul) and the capital of Medieval Provence. Aix is world renowned for its concerts and hosts the annual International Festival of Lyric Art.
